About Us

OUR HISTORY

We are a nonprofit organization of Itsekiri located in Northern California (IANC) . Incorporated in 2011.

On August 29, 2010, many Itsekiri families in Northern California gathered at Crab Cove in Alameda, CA for a picnic.

At the gathering, a consensus to coalesce into an organization for Itsekiri in Northern California was agreed. In September 2010, some of members from Northern California debuted as observers at the 2010 Ugbajo Itsekiri Convention in Washington DC. IANC formally joined Ugbajo Itsekiri USA Inc in 2011 at the Los Angeles Convention. Since then, we have kept the effort going with the support and enthusiasm of Itsekiri in Northern California who are members.
